Scientific knowledge important for vulnerable delta

We are using our small country of the Netherlands more and more intensively. The population is growing and also the ambitions. We want to take an important position within Europe. We want more industry and good accessibility. At the same time we want a safe living environment without flooding, pollution, noise and inconvenience from building activities. A mixture of wishes that is only obtainable with high-quality knowledge and new concepts. Delft Cluster has signed up for the necessary scientific knowledge.

Knowledge to the Market Conference a great success

It finally happened on Friday 30 October: Delft Cluster’s Knowledge to the Market  Conference at the Lijm & Culture Centre in Delft.  The final step in the knowledge programme that has brought knowledge to the market. A ‘knowledge cheque’ was awarded to Mr Verkerk (Mayor of Delft) and Mr. Van Haersma Buma (Delfland Water Management Authority) during the plenary programme. After the plenary session, some 200 participants took part in three different plenary sessions. The result: a great deal of knowledge exchange.
